The Pleasure Maker band was created in 2001 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as a follow-up to a Bon Jovi cover band by the name of New Jersey.
The intention is to produce a sound mix combining technique, melody and good choruses, while updating the Rock N Roll sound of the eighties. Main influences in the case are Winger, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Duran Duran and Danger Danger.
Highlights from the line-up:
C. Marshall – vocalist of Fugitivos de Toquio band during four years, recorded two albums, then participated in Trucco Classic Rock band for three years as a drummer and vocalist, and nowadays also performs as a vocalist in Analfa band, known as one of the best Brazilian rock cover bands.
Alex Meister – guitarist for over 15 years, he participated in Thoten, a heavy metal band which performed in Brazil and in the Gods of Metal Festival in Italy, 2003. He once was sponsored by Elixir Strings and interviewed by magazines such as Guitar Player. He conceived and produces the Pleasure Maker.
The mix of a striking vocal with well-worked guitars and strong choruses permeates “Love On The Rocks”, the band´s first CD, in trying to recreate a Rock N Roll joyful atmosphere with good sound quality, of course!
Nowadays the band is performing some shows on Brazil and promoting the new album which, by the way, is getting really good reviews by magazines and web sites around the globe. The first single “Just Thinkin' About U” is already being played in some radios.
