Based out of Chicago and formed in 2000, progressive-metal giants “Lydian Sea” have just released their follow-up release, giving bands like “Fates Warning”and “Valley's Eve” a run for their money!!!
Their 1st s/t release from 2001 did well, showing the diversity and complex melodic writing of Lydian's mastermind, Ron Gonzalez. However, like so many great metal releases in the world, the cd was poorly distributed.
Growing over the years and adding key new players, including a very talented new vocalist, Danny McCartney, whom some state sounds like a cross between Ray Alder & Blaze Bailey, Lydian Sea reached early in 2005 to begin recording their 13 track massive follow-up entitled “Architect Of Humanity”!!! If the new lineup wasn't complete enough, Mike McCarron (George Bellas) was added!!! Mike played drums with George for some time!!! George Bellas is a well known guitarist, and has played with “Magellan”, Deen Castronovo, Kevin Chown, Pete Way and even Mr. Big's “Eric Martin”!!! Mike Szot is an exceptional studio bassist and has that something to place his playing in the “A” group, up there with Geddy Lee and “Billy Sheehan”.
The new “Architect Of Humanity” release is explosive and contains some of the finest metal in the world!!! “So far, we have managed to get Lydian Sea down to Progpower VI this year, to do their official release party!” “The cd was so well received, that it's promotional track entitled “All That Ends” was placed on this years 3cd Progpower VI sampler as track #3, right between Metal Church guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof's new “Presto Ballet” solo release and Nevermore's 2005 “The Godless Endeavor”, notes CD Inzane's Zane Petersen. “The track on the sampler is an exclusive to this sampler, as since then, it has been remixed and contains an alternate drum track to make the release even more explosive!!! “The 3cd sampler has 39 tracks on it, so being in the top 3 is a grand achievement, showing huge events to come and worldwide success for Ron and the band!!!”
