The BISS success story seemed to end right before it started even though fans and the metal press have loved the debut album simply entitled “Biss” in the year 2002 and the sales figures also have been tremendous. A tour, supporting German hard Rock heroes BONFIRE, was booked and everybody in the BISS camp was hot to enter the stage as soon as possible! Everybody…..????? The bad news hit the BISS guys right in the face! Fernando Garcia (ex-VICTORY) left the band! The "reasons" for the split are history now.
Producer Michael Voss and BISS guitar hero Ralph “Doc” Heyne” are not the kind of guys that can be discouraged by an egocentric so called lead singer. So there was one thing for sure: BISS won't die!
On “Joker In The Deck” you again could find all the trademarks that made the debut album so successful, but the BIG THING this time was the new line-up! BISS, originally being more or less a duo, now had turned into a band. Barend Courbois (ex- VENGEANCE) on bass and Jos Zoomer (ex-VANDENBERG) on drums two legends built the rhythm section. The new lead singer was not just one more metal shouter, it's one of the best….. "Mr. Ex- JADED HEART", Michael Bormann!
After the departure of Michael Bormann, German hard rockers BISS are now ready to strike back with their third album and a new singer on board: the vocals job is now handled by none other than Marc Storace of KROKUS fame.
The new disc entitled “Face Off” was mixed at Barfly Studios Germany by producer Michael Voss (CASANOVA, SILVER) and will be released on their new label AOR Heaven on May 30.
